Chicken Meat and Egg Consumption Able to Slow Brain Aging

Chicken and eggs appear to be a single package of your choice of a healthy diet. A recent research shows that consumption ofchicken and the egg was found to increase the memory in thebrain.

In its findings the scientists found, nutrients that can slow theaging brain, called choline. According to researchers, choline-rich foods may help protect the brain from the effects of aging. The nutrients included in the vitamin B is mostly found in foodssuch as chicken, eggs, fish and nuts.

Researchers at Boston University found that people who get a lot of choline intake in their diet tend to have a good memory andhave less chance of having dementia.

Dr. Rhoda Au, a senior researcher said the findings add to evidence that a diet rich in choline lifetime can make a difference in age on the brain.

"I think these findings would like to convey a message to us that it is important to eat a healthy and balanced starting middle age,"he said.

In his research, Dr. Au involving nearly 1,400 adults aged 36-83years. Volunteers are asked to answer dietary questionnaires in 1991 and 1995. Then, between 1998 and 2001. They underwenttests of memory, other cognitive abilities and underwent brainMRI scans.

The study found that men and women who had high intake of choline has a better memory test results. Other factors includeeducation, fat and calorie intake also were taken into account.

Dr Au said, the findings suggest that people who get little choline intake is more likely to be at 'path' towards mental decline than those who had higher intake of choline.

Experts generally recommend that men should meet the needs of 550 mg of choline per day, while women should get at least 425 mg of choline per day.
